Gabriel was first diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia (AML) in February of 2010. Since that time he has dealt with many complications due to treatment; heart failure, iron overload, chemotherapies, and multiple surgeries and procedures. This past summer Gabriel relapsed and was not responding to treatment. He was given a research drug that has enabled him to undergo a bone marrow transplant. Gabriel’s family is thankful and hopeful for a full recovery, but they could use assistance with his medical expenses.
