Lynda, a loving and active grandmother, was diagnosed with multiple myeloma in August of 2010. In order to receive treatment she had give up her job as church secretary, a position she held for 20 years. Her work providing foster care for abandoned and/or abused rat terriers was also interrupted. Lynda underwent chemotherapy and received a bone marrow transplant over 250 miles away from her home. The expenses associated with the transplant, relocation, and continued medical needs are taking a toll on Lynda. Her insurance reached its lifetime cap and she is now without coverage and in need of financial support.
