In February 2010, one month after giving birth to her second child, Lajla was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia (AML). She has spent many months in the hospital receiving chemotherapy and radiation. She also has undergone two bone marrow transplants; one in November of 2010 and one in December of 2011. During these two difficult years she has stayed positive and confident that God will carry her through. Due to the amount of time Lajla spends in the hospital, her husband had to quit his job to look after their two young children. Any financial assistance will be very much appreciated and prayers are always welcome.
