Karen was diagnosed with diffuse large B-cell lymphoma in May of 2011. Since that time she has undergone eight cycles of R-CHOP chemotherapy (a mixture of Rituxan and several chemotherapy drugs) without achieving the desired results. Karen plans to undergo a bone marrow transplant as soon as doctors can successfully shrink the mass caused by the cancer. Until that time she continues to travel back and forth for treatment and keeps her mind focused on the Lord as she does whatever it takes to get well.
