Joel was diagnosed with familial hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis (FHLH), a rare disorder of the immune system, when he was one month old. This diagnosis has been extremely difficult for his mother, who has watched him undergo chemotherapy and a bone marrow transplant within the first few months of his life. She is extremely grateful for his donor and everyone involved in his care and is hopeful for his future. Joel and his mother have needed to relocate near the treatment center and would benefit from assistance with lodging, transportation, meals, and living expenses.
The Bone Marrow and Cancer Foundation relies 100% on private donations. Your generous Lifeline Fund donation will make a significant difference in the lives of patients like Joel.
