Deborah was diagnosed with multiple myeloma in June of 2013 after an abnormal blood test. She had her first stem cell transplant in October and will go for her second on December 30th. In between her transplants she and her son Eric (pictured) had their hair shaved off together. For the next year, Deborah has needed to take a leave of absence from her job as a Nurse Practitioner due to her weakened immune system. She is looking forward to getting better and getting back to her patients. Until she can return to work, Deborah will need assistance with household expenses, travel, and medical bills.
