Enriqueta was diagnosed with multiple myeloma in Reno, Nevada. She is enduring neuropathic pain as a result of the initial radiation and chemotherapy she received. On April 17th 2014, Enriqueta had a bone marrow transplant and spent four weeks with four different caregivers in Salt Lake City, Utah. Her husband dislocated his knee cap one week prior to her transplant and was unable to be at her side. Post-transplant, Enriqueta finds herself loaded with medical bills. As both she and her husband are unable to work, Enriqueta had to sell all of her gold jewelry and her credit cards are completely maxed out. She would utilize funds raised in order to pay her daily living and caregiving expenses.
