Michael is 20 years old and has been battling Sickle Cell Anemia for many years. In July 2014, he received an allogeneic transplant. His older sister, Cherie, was his donor and is the main support in Michael’s life. Michael is described by social work staff at his hospital as a “sweet young man who loves amusement parks and music.” Once he is further along in his recovery, he plans to study to be a paramedic, then a trauma nurse or a surgeon.
The Bone Marrow and Cancer Foundation relies 100% on private donations. Your generous Lifeline Fund donation will make a significant difference in the lives of patients like Michael.
