Twenty-one-year-old Debra received an allogeneic stem cell transplant in September 2013 to treat her diagnosis of ALL (acute lymphocytic leukemia). She now continues to receive medical care multiple times per month for her chronic GVHD (graph versus host disease). Debra lives 100 miles away from the hospital. She also sees local doctors for oncology follow-up services. At this time, Debra needs to purchase dental trays for her oral GVHD, which are not covered by insurance. She maintains her own finances and pays for rent and utilities. Debra also coordinates her own travel and medical care, which is centered around treatment of her chronic GVHD. She cannot work or attend school at this time. Thank you for supporting this patient!
