Day by day….

11/2/2022

I am ok but still in pain and says in some ways the pain has gotten worse. Especially the last 2 mornings. Both pretty much a 9 out of 10 on the pain scale. I ran out of Oxy yesterday and my friends convinced me to ask for more which I did. It definitely helps and I definitely don’t abuse it.

I think the splint protecting my hard palate has shifted. It leaves me fearful I’m getting things caught in there. The splint should come out tomorrow. I have no idea what to expect after that but I can’t imagine that it could be worse.

I haven’t slept this much since I was a baby. My mom said I slept to protect myself from my chaotic toddler brothers.

I am looking forward to the follow-up  appointment with Dr Mehra tomorrow morning and am compiling a list of questions for him.

I am overwhelmed with gratitude for the outpouring of love and support from so many people! The financial contributions, the meals, the errands, the messages of support, the prayers ALL mean the world to me.

It is currently very difficult to be able to respond to everyone – I hope you understand. I do read all messages and am very thankful.

Your contributions directly support cancer patients

With rising cancer rates, our work has never been more important. All donations for the Bone Marrow & Cancer Foundation go to services that directly help cancer patients, survivors, and families. The Foundation relies 100% on private donations. We depend on individual and corporate donors, as we don’t receive government or public funding.
