January 27, 2022 (Day -5)

1/28/2022

Today was the first day of chemo; started my day with that at 7:30 after not sleeping too well last night. My trifusion site isn’t hurting much anymore and I’m feeling more settled in, so hopefully I will sleep better tonight. Overall, today was pretty uneventful. I managed to take a couple small naps and I’m still eating well. Today’s biggest challenge has been the fatigue from my hemoglobin being so low, but I get blood tonight so hopefully tomorrow will be a little easier as far as the fatigue goes.

Current blood counts:

White blood cells: 3.4

Hemoglobin: 6.9

Platelets: 19

Usually my platelets are the limbo champion, but it looks like my hemoglobin is competing for that title now too.
