January 31, 2022 (Day -1)

1/31/2022

After two days of having no appetite and not being able to keep anything down, I’m finally starting to have a small appetite again and so far kept down a couple small things of dry cereal (knock on wood). Yesterday was the last day of the initial chemo treatment before transplant. There will be another 2 days of a different chemo treatment a few days after the transplant.

Last night’s blood counts:

White blood cells: 1.2

Hemoglobin: 9.6

Platelets: 10 (got 1 unit of platelets after these results)

Tomorrow is transplant day! 🙂

Your contributions directly support cancer patients

With rising cancer rates, our work has never been more important. All donations for the Bone Marrow & Cancer Foundation go to services that directly help cancer patients, survivors, and families. The Foundation relies 100% on private donations. We depend on individual and corporate donors, as we don’t receive government or public funding. We offer innovative ways to contribute, and options for doubling the impact of donations. Thank you for your support, it means so much to so many patients.
