Still in hospital

8/27/2024

I got to go home (or where we are staying close to the doctors) on Wednesday last week and then on Saturday I started running fever again and was re-admitted to the hospital. I will more than likely be here a few more days because we can’t get my fever to stay down. I am also needing blood and platelets on a daily basis; sometimes twice a day. I can have visitors but noone comes because they are scared to bring germs in here. My husband comes at night after he gets off work and I see doctors and nurses and techs and that’s it. I know that there is always someone out there that has it worse than me but I still feel disconnected from the world being in the hospital and then not being able to leave my house. For those of you that think you would love staying at home away from people all the time, it is nice for a little while but you can’t even buy your own groceries or clothes or shoes or anything. That’s all I have for now but I will try to do daily updates here for those that are interested.

Your contributions directly support cancer patients

With rising cancer rates, our work has never been more important. All donations for the Bone Marrow & Cancer Foundation go to services that directly help cancer patients, survivors, and families. The Foundation relies 100% on private donations. We depend on individual and corporate donors, as we don’t receive government or public funding. We offer innovative ways to contribute, and options for doubling the impact of donations. Thank you for your support, it means so much to so many patients.
