Bennett Farrell

Thank you for supporting Bennett through his treatment for leukemia!

Being a seemingly very healthy 20-year-old, it shocked us all when our son Bennett was diagnosed with TCell ALL (Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia) at the end of April 2026. It began with a trip to the local ER for a nosebleed that just wouldn’t stop. When the doctor asked if he had any other issues, Bennett mentioned that he had developed some “spots” on his body in the previous week or so. When the doctor saw the petechiae, he immediately ordered blood tests. The next thing we knew Bennett was being transferred to the ‘big city’ hospital and getting a leukemia diagnosis and would not return home for over two weeks. And when he did return home he would be fully into the first phase of chemotherapy.

We are very confident that God is answering our prayers and he will be fully cured! However, he has a long road of treatment ahead of him right now. He had hoped to be able to return to his job at least part-time by now, but that has been impossible due to no energy, as well as neuropathy that has greatly affected his strength and fine motor skills. He is now in the second phase of his treatment and will be in some form of treatment for about 3 more years.

We live 1.5 hours from the hospital and clinic where he receives treatment, so we are on the road very often–at least once a week, sometimes more. Often we have to do extended stays as well depending on treatment schedules. It can be a lot some days and can definitely be overwhelming, but we are so very grateful for a strong support system of family and friends around us!

Bennett’s whole world has been turned upside down for the time being, with any plans he has put on hold. He also will be needing a new car very soon, as his transmission is going out. However, he is confident that he will beat this with God’s help and will one day be completely cured. We appreciate any and all support donated (tax deductible!) to him and most of all for prayers for him during this very challenging time.
