Standing in Faith as I Fight Stage 4 Mantle Cell Lymphoma
In January 2025, at 63 years old, I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Mantle Cell Lymphoma. While this diagnosis was unexpected, my faith has been my foundation. I believe God is walking with me through every appointment, every treatment, and every mile of this journey.
I travel to Houston for treatment at MD Anderson Cancer Center — approximately 5–6 hours each way. These trips, along with insurance premiums, copayments, and deductibles, have created a heavy financial burden. In the past year alone, I incurred about $42,000 in medical and travel-related expenses.
My wife and I have been married for 41 years, and I have continued working full-time throughout this battle. Providing for my family and staying productive has been important to me, even during treatment. I still have 11 months of treatment remaining, and while I remain committed to working and fighting, the financial strain continues.
As a man of faith, asking for help does not come easily. But I also believe God often works through the kindness and generosity of others. I am humbly asking for support to help offset travel costs, insurance premiums, copayments, and deductibles for the coming year. Every donation will go directly toward these necessary expenses so I can focus on healing and completing treatment.
Your prayers, encouragement, and support mean more than I can express. Thank you for standing with me — and for lifting me up in prayer — as I continue this fight.
With gratitude,
Kurt
