Hello everyone,
First, thank you for all of the many messages of love and support that I've received both here and elsewhere. It has been an unbelievably stressful and overwhelming few months. With the encouragement of my dear friends who have put this page together, I've been pushed out of my comfort zone and am leaning on my community to walk through this challenging season with me. Yesterday, I completed the four hour nuclear stress test and was cleared for surgery. Apparently, I fall in the 30% of people with EKG's that indicate heart damage when there is none. My cardiologist has confirmed that my heart is healthy and I'm good to go. I'm quite anxious as I head into Monday but I am ready to be on the other side of this surgery to remove the mass from my soft palate and to have a clearer sense of the challenges that may lie ahead. One thing that I know for sure is that I am not alone. Between my friends, family and God, I have an army fighting with me and for me. Thank you for your part in it. I'm humbled by all of it.
With love and gratitude,
Susan
