When Eric was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia, he had already started the healing process of another life-threatening illness, addiction. Eric's sudden cancer put on hold a promising and creative career as a chef in Milwaukee. With the onset of COVID-19, he had to undergo his first treatments in the hospital with limited or no visitors. Despite all of this, Eric continues to be a positive influence in the lives of his family and friends. AML has been devastating, painful, and scary, but Eric has found a way to be a wonderful fiance, son, uncle, brother, and friend.
