Reaching out to a Community of Support

Welcome to Jennifer’s Carelines page! Thank you for coming to support Jennifer in her journey of recovery. Here you can:

Crystal Schultz is organizing this fundraiser on behalf of Jennifer Koerber.

Hello everyone; this is a combined effort on behalf of Jennifer's family to share her story and provide emotional and financial support to her during this challenging time. You can visit her Facebook page, "Jennifer's Journey Beating MDS Cancer" and leave her a note of encouragement. This page's primary function is to promote awareness and financial support.

Jennifer was diagnosed with MDS (Myelodysplastic Syndrome) in August of 2022. This diagnosis came after seven rounds of blood transfusions due to having low neutrophils, white blood cells, and hemoglobin. Jennifer's bone marrow is not producing enough of the essential cells in her blood to keep her healthy (this is a very rare disease in the U.S.) Jennifer is currently undergoing chemotherapy and will receive a Hematopoietic Cell Transplantation (HCT) transplant via blood to promote her bone marrow to produce her needed blood cells. Jennifer has MDS-ED2 which is high grade with excess cancer blasts of 12%, 8 more percent would have put her at the AML (Acute Myleoid Luekemia Diagnosis)

During this period and after, Jennifer will be immunocompromised, meaning that she will be very susceptible to infections putting her at a higher risk to normally mild conditions such as colds and the flu.

Jennifer has three children that she supports and would appreciate any amount of support you could give to fund her ongoing medical expenses.
