Matt and I have been married almost 20 years and have four daughters: Kellie (16), Natalie (14), Rachel (13), and Hannah (11).
Matt’s diagnosis is a type of leukemia called AML. The oncologist explained that this is treatable and curable, but the road is going to be long. Treatable meaning several chemotherapy rounds over the next several months until they get his cancer in remission. Once he is in remission, they will do the bone marrow transplant, which is the cure when Matt’s body accepts it.
We are taking this a day at a time and with whole confidence in our Savior Jesus Christ, who goes before us and walks with us wrapping us in His perfect love. We are not angry with God because God is not to blame in any of this. We live in a broken world because of original sin. This may seem hopeless, but our hope is not in this world, it is in Jesus. We believe with full, grateful hearts that He will continue to show His awesome power and love for us and you all as you watch us walk this faith journey. To God give the glory in all things, even in IV bags, hospital parking fees, and extreme fatigue. God is always good. ❤️
