On Dec. 29, 2021, I went into the ER and was diagonosed with covid pneumonia. I returned to work on Feb. 14th. On Feb 18, 2022, I returned to the ER because of fevers and was admitted. After 53 test, I was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lyphoma. Instantly my life flashed before. In June 2022, I was diagnosed with hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis (HLH) and crytocococcus in July 2022. I underwent a series of medical procedures. Lymphadenectomy, 5 bone marrow biopsies, chemo treatment, several platelet transfusions and a Hematopoietic Cell Transplantation (HCT) transplant. I relasped to Hodgkin's lyphoma 3 times. Thankfully I do have medical insurance coverage but, no disability coverage, no income, beside Snap/food stamps, since Janurary 2022.
Making payment for auto/homeowner's insurance, property tax, utilities, auto repairs, and gas became most challenging and very stressful for me. Stress, daily responsibilities, work, finances, life adversities, can tremdously hinder a cancer patient's recovery. It is imperative to have the mind at ease so that the body is able to recover from the illness. Carelines assist patients with basic to necessary needs.
