Nekeisha Decan was diagnosed with AML on August 28th, 2023, not long after returning to New York from Trinidad. She has battled many complications so far since her diagnosis and still has a long way to go. She has undergone chemotherapy, and recently has been fighting a serious bacterial infection that has left her with impaired vision. She has been blessed with a sibling who is a full match donor for a stem cell transplant that has the potential to cure her of this disease, however she needs to stabilize medically and get to remission before proceeding with the transplant. Financial support is needed as she embarks on this long journey of healing. Her priority at this time is raising funds to help with travel expenses of family from Trinidad, as she would very much appreciate being able to be reunited with her 18 year old daughter, whom she has not seen since her diagnosis. Through all of the ups and downs, Nekeisha has maintained a positive outlook and strong faith in God, trusting that He has a plan for her and believing that He is good, despite her challenging circumstances. Please help support Nekeisha in any way you are able, to help ease the financial burden of her unexpected health crisis.
