Hello, my daughter is Madison Reese and she is currently six years old when she was four Madison was spending the night at grandmas house and as she was getting ready for bed, my mother noticed that she could actually see Madison\'s heart beating in her chest so she told me about it and asked if Madison had been feeling OK and I said yes!! She then told me what had happened exactly..so the next day I brought Madison to the doctor just to make sure everything was OK, once the doctors came back in our life would forever be changed. They told us that Madison had dilated cardiomyopathy, and her heart was only function at 10% and she was in her end stage of heart failure !! They went on to she would most likely need a heart transplant. They put her on a medication called milranone and they kept her on that for three weeks at the end of that three weeks they still hadn\'t seen any change! So the doctors came in later that day and asked if I would give consent for Madison to receive the Berlin heart, which is an artificial heart that pumps for your heart it was not something that I wanted to do but I know it had to be done for Madison! Madison had the Berlin heart for almost 3 months and on August 13, 2021. The doctors said they had a heart for her.! it was one of the happiest days of my life, but also one of the saddest, because my child was being given a second chance at life with somebody else\'s child. Life was ending! I am forever grateful for that family.... after Madison received her heart transplant things were going pretty well until one day when we were just coming back from a Make A Wish trip to Disney World and Madison was complaining of neck pains so we scheduled her a doctors appointment and we brought her in and when we got there and they see the labs they said that they wanted to do a biopsy so they did the biopsy and about four days later they called and said that Madison had peripheral T cell lymphoma cancer! We literally thought this could not be happening. It felt like a dream here we are trying to go back to somewhat of a normal life especially for Madison and then the unthinkable happened.!!!! Madison and my family have had some great times these last couple years and also some really hard times. I\'ve had to sit up long long with Madison when she doesn\'t feel well.... or when I just can\'t sleep because there\'s so much on my mind! I\'ve had to quit my job to care for Madison and my husband takes off work frequently to help me with Madison when she hast to go to doctors appointments or if she has hospital stays it\'s just been a lot on our family because even though our child is sick, that does not mean The bills don\'t keep accumulating. We will continue to be positive every step of the way as long as Madison it is here on earth we always have something to celebrate. We always try to look at the positive or the negative.!!
