New Update from Ryan:
I just finished chemo #40! I’m unsure on how to feel about this milestone. I am still alive which is what is most important. I do hate that I have to go to 40 chemo treatments and counting, but once again, I am still here and would do it all over again. Each of these chemos is a battle that is part of the war on my cancer.
I hope everybody had a great Christmas. Our family was able to really enjoy time together. We just got back from a trip to Wisconsin to see my family (Grandma J, cousins, and aunt) and also enjoy an indoor water park in the Dells. We all had a great time away.
The Taxane Acute Pain Syndrome in my legs was the best it has been since I started my new treatment. I made it through Christmas (which should have been my worst day) with minimal pain, so I’m hoping the compression and ice during treatment helped. I continued this today during my treatment.
We plan to have some major rest and relaxation during these last few days of 2023 and hope you all can get some in as well. I’m praying 2024 will provide me (and my body) with some space from the chemo chair and allow for some more time for living and enjoying life with my friends and family. Best wishes for a great start to the new year for everyone reading my story!!
We love you all!
Ryan
