Chemo #48 ✅
Brooke and I went up to Mayo for a CT scan and to see my oncologist. My scan came back really good overall. “Stable and technically no measurable disease” was the wording from the oncologist at Mayo.
There is a small, suspicious spot in my lung that we knew about that has grown, but very slowly. It’s currently 8mm and started at 4mm when first spotted back in November.
I also have a new pulmonary embolism/blood clot in my lung as well. The doctor is thinking it is most likely from COVID, but they will watch it to make sure we don’t need to do any other interventions since I’m already on a blood thinner.
As for what this means…I think I mentioned earlier that Mayo has a trial I qualify for, but because I’m stable right now, I don’t fully qualify at this time. The trial requires you to have progression to participate. The Mayo doctor suggested a different treatment of immunotherapy with a maintenance pill that we could look into if I wanted to take a break from chemo. This was actually a trial that was run out at UPenn by my oncologist out there that is an option too. We will discuss this with her when we go out East next week.
To keep up with all that we have going on: The following link will take you to my health updates, social media, and pancreatic cancer media we have been part of over the last three years of my journey.

Thank you for the continued prayers and well wishes!
