Meet K’Lynn, known for her energy and ability to light up any room. At just 4 years old, she embodies the spirit of a life of the party, always ready to spread happiness and laughter.
Recently, we received a life-altering diagnosis: Aplastic Anemia (AA). This rare and serious condition means bone marrow can't produce enough new blood cells, essential for health. She has had to go through numerous treatments with numerous doctors including having to get blood transfusions and platelet transfusions one to two times a week just to maintain her levels. Her treatment will involve intense chemo, radiation, and a bone marrow transplant. Along with Aspergillus phenomenon: which is mold in the lungs and it is a type of mold that is just in the air outside, and also numerous other infections in her bone and body due to no immune system.
Unfortunately, the family faces a road they never imagined, one filled with frequent hospital visits, rigorous treatments, and the uncertainty of what lies ahead. But I am a mom of 4, the oldest is 11 and youngest is a newborn. I have not been able to work to take care of the bills and the personal needs that my family has needed, I have pretty much lost everything. We are back and forth to the hospital 3x a week and that’s if we are not admitted into the hospital. She has lost her energy and strength and also weight.
