Reaching out to a Community of Support

Welcome to Alexander’s Carelines page! Thank you for coming to support Alexander in his journey of recovery. Here you can:

Hi, I’m Alexander, and here’s my story:

I’m 32 years old and a single dad to an incredibly bright and gifted 13-year-old girl. We live in Phoenix, Arizona, where I’ve spent many years working as a chef. For the past 10 years, it’s just been the two of us. My daughter is my motivation in starting this page as a way to manage the expenses that followed my acute myeloid leukemia (AML) diagnosis last year.

In September 2023, my life changed in ways I never could have imagined. It all started when I just didn’t feel right. I was tired all the time, way more than usual. Then, my vision started to get bad. When I went in for tests, the doctor performed a bone marrow biopsy, which led to the news: I have acute myeloid leukemia (AML). Since then, I’ve been in and out of the hospital. I’ve had 10 biopsies and countless procedures, and honestly, it’s been a tough road.

Before my diagnosis, I worked as a chef. Cooking was my passion, and it gave me so much joy to share that with others. But now, I can’t work. My immune system is so weak that I had to pull my daughter out of her regular school and enroll her in online classes. We live in an apartment here in Phoenix, and my mom has been helping out as much as she can, but things are really tight. Between medical bills, rent, and just making sure my daughter has what she needs, I need help. She’s my reason for fighting every day.

If you can, please consider supporting us (note: your donations are tax-deductible). Every little bit helps. Thank you for taking the time to read my story and for any support you can give. It means the world to us.

With gratitude, Alexander
