My daughter Dariella is 14 years old. In 11/2024 my daughter was diagnosed with osteosarcoma on her right femur. In 01/2025, we found out that her cancer is now stage 4 due to the cancer spreading to her lungs and right groin area. My daughter has been doing chemotherapy since 01/2025. In 03/2025, she also had surgery in her right femur to remove the tumor but that meant getting bone removed and getting a carbon fiber rod put it. It has been the hardest time of our lifes. My whole family has been effected by her diagnose. It was very difficult to try to work due to missing work so much for her inpatient chemo. 1 week before her surgery in 03/2025 my daughter also started having stroke like symptoms. I had to rush her to the ER. Thank god it was not a stroke but she ended up with methotrexate neurotoxcitiy. At that moment I decided due to my mental health to take time off from work. My mental health was already taking a tow on me but when she was having the stroke like symptoms made my mental health worse. So currently I'm only getting income from my short term disability thru my employer which means less income. Less income has made it very difficult to pay for anything. Dariella also has 3 other siblings, her twin sister, 6 yr old sister and 3 yr old brother. This has effected them as well knowing that we cant all be together as a family when we are in the hospital for in patient chemo. Dariella's twin sister Daniella been effected with her mental health. We have stayed so strong and hopeful through out this whole journey, even though at the beginning of this journey I would question everything and I would question my faith, like why my child. But my faith is what has kept me going and has kept me strong. I have been able to hold it together for my daughter and my family even though there was a lot of times I wanted to give up. No matter what we keep pushing, this journey isn't over yet.
