CancerBuddy is for anyone impacted by cancer, whether they are a patient, survivor, or caregiver to someone with cancer. CancerBuddy provides a community of support and referral to resources from people who understand what you are going through.
CancerBuddy is a particularly helpful tool for AYA who make up a minority of the cancer population, making it more difficult to find and connect without the help of technology.
- CancerBuddy uses self-identify and user-report to notify app administrators of any inappropriate behavior.
- Flagged users are reviewed by moderators and dealt with on a case by case basis.
- Terms of use clearly state that individuals should not consider information exchanged between patients to be taken as medical advice.
- Information from the group hosts and subject matter experts have all been vetted for accuracy.
