Ariel Kelly
Four year old Ariel Kelly was diagnosed with sickle cell disease shortly after her birth in 2006. Since that time, she has become a big sister to brothers Pierre and Kalin. Kalin was also born with sickle cell disease and Pierre was born with sickle cell trait.
Although this has been a difficult time, the Kelly family feels as though they have been blessed to see God’s work evolve from the gift of life in a child. Ariel, a very strong little girl, could potentially be cured with a bone marrow transplant. Her brother Pierre is a match, and now, the family is preparing for the transplant journey.
Lutrisha, Ariel’s mother, will stay with her at Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee while Herman, Ariel’s father, will remain at home in Chattanooga, Tennessee with the boys.
To help Ariel and her family with the additional expenses associated with the transplant, they have teamed up with the Bone Marrow & Cancer Foundation to set up this special One-to-One Fund to collect donations on her behalf. They are very thankful for everyone’s support, prayers, and encouragement during this time.
